Recording Staff

The recording department handles all mortgage, conveyance, UCC, and miscellaneous filings. We also prepare mortgage certificates and handle all oaths of office.

Effective 9/1/2014, a $5.00 portal fee will be added to each instrument recorded in accordance with R.S. 13:754.

This is a free statewide search of index entries only.  To view or purchase the document you will be redirected to the parish website. 

Mortgage certificates are done in the order they are received.  Please allow 3-5 days to receive your certificate. See attached recording fee schedule for a complete list of mortgage certificate fees.  If you have an account with our office you can fax or email your request for a mortgage certificate.
