Recording Staff

The recording department handles all mortgage, conveyance, UCC, and miscellaneous filings. We also prepare mortgage certificates, and handle all oaths of office.

Effective 9/1/2014,  a $5.00 portal fee will be added to each instrument recorded in accordance with R.S. 13:754.

Mortgage certificates are done in the order they are received.  Please allow 3-5 days to receive your certificate. See attached recording fee schedule for a complete list of mortgage certificate fees.  If you have an account with our office you can fax or email your request for a mortgage certificate.
