Civil/Criminal/Probate Staff

The Civil department is responsible for filing all civil pleadings, issuing all subpoenas, citations, notices, etc., and collecting all fees associated with filing civil matters.  The civil department also files all probate, adoption and juvenile matters.   Additionally, the civil department provides a Civil Minute Clerk for all civil court hearings. The minute clerk takes notes, types minutes, administers the oath to parties, witnesses, and jurors, and files all exhibits and evidence offered in court.  This office is also a Passport Acceptance Facility and we accept passport applications for processing.  
 
The Criminal department is responsible for filing all criminal bills of information and bills of indictment, all criminal motions and criminal subpoenas, and notices to counsel.  Additionally, the criminal department provides a Criminal Minute Clerk for all criminal court hearings.  The minute clerk takes notes, types minutes, administers the oath to parties, witnesses and jurors, and files all exhibits and evidence offered in court.
 
Other services available include copies of pleadings, copies of minutes, and civil and criminal searches. 
   
Copies are $2.00 per page plus $5.00 certification fee.  Minute extracts are $15.00 for criminal and $2.00 per page for civil with a $5.00 certification fee.  Civil and Criminal searches are $20.00 per name for a ten year search.
